How can I use the eSIM service?

iOS: You must have iOS 12.1 or later and an unlocked iPhone. Any iPhone older than XR or XS supports eSIM. (Note: When you buy a device with a contract from a mobile operator, it is common practice for them to lock the connectivity from any other supplier. In this case, your device will be considered "locked," at least until your contract expires. You can check with your operator to see if there is anything you can do to unlock the eSIM in your device.) Samsung, Pixel, and many Androids support eSIM.

In what scenarios can eSIM service be used?

Here are a few of the many ways you can use eSIM: Add a local data plan when you travel outside of the country or region. Use eSIM for Data and keep your voice line separate.

How to Set up eSIM for iOS?

Purchase the eSIM data plan on our website. Receive the eSIM QR code by email. Set up your eSIM profile as follows: Go to your device [Settings] > [Cellular or Mobile Data] > [Add Cellular Plan]. Scan the QR code provided by email. Tap [Add Cellular Plan]. Choose [Secondary] Label and change the name to "eSIM." Select the option for "Use eSIM for cellular data only" and tap [Continue]. Select the option for ‘Use Primary as the preferred line’ and tap [Done]. Check if the APN Name matches with the eSIM order: Tap on eSIM > [Cellular Data Network] > [APN].

How to Set up eSIM for Android?

Purchase the eSIM data plan on our website. Receive the eSIM QR code by email. Set up your eSIM profile as follows: Go to your device [Settings] > [Network & Internet] > [Mobile Network]. Tap "Download a SIM instead?" > Download your SIM > Tap [Next]. Scan the QR code provided by email. Tap [Download] and [Done]. Check if the APN Name matches with the eSIM order: Tap "eSIM" and tap [Advanced] > Tap [Access Point Names] > [APN].

What payment methods do you support?

Currently, Visa, Mastercard, and other major credit cards are all accepted.

How fast is the network speed?

4G/LTE service is available in most countries and continues to be covered in more countries.

Are voice calls and SMS included?

Only data service is available.

Will I get a local phone number with an eSIM?

Our eSIM plans do not include a local phone number, but don't worry, after activating your eSIM, you can continue using your phone number to send and receive calls and text messages. You can still utilize 3rd party communication apps such as Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Viber, Zalo, WeChat and many more to make calls and send text messages that require data only.

How to use dual SIM on iPhone and set up your cellular plan with eSIM?

Dual SIM on iPhone offers you the freedom to get separate voice/SMS and data plans. At this stage, only cellular data is available on our eSIM platform. Therefore, after you scan a QR code to add the eSIM, please label it "Secondary" on the "Cellular Plan Labels" page, and then go to the "Default Line" page, choose "Use [Secondary] for cellular data only." How to remove the eSIM data plan after use?

You can use your phone's delete eSIM function.

How do I get my eSIM after payment?

You will receive an email with your QR code. Please check spam if you have not received it after 1 minute.

How is the validity period of the plan calculated?

The actual usage time of some data plans may start according to your eSIM's first connection. We will describe this in the package information.

Can I have multiple phones scan the same QR code?

No, but the same device can rescan the same QR code.

If I lost my eSIM QR code, what can I do?

Check your email or contact us.

Will my physical SIM still work while eSIM is installed?

Yes, your physical SIM can still work. We suggest turning off data roaming and turning on "WiFi calling."

Does Ezy eSIM log my location?

No, we do not record your device location. As required by law, we keep records containing only the time, data (Megabytes) consumed, and cellular provider of each data connection.

Can I top up my account if I run out of data?

Currently, we are developing an online portal to top up your data, however at this time, if more data or if the service plan has expired, you can purchase and set up another eSIM on your phone. This would be the same exact way as you have installed our eSIM.

Can I check how much data I have used?

Yes, absolutely! You are able to check your usage by retrieving the QR code email and clicking on the manual eSIM install link, it should look something like "https://p.qrsim.net/XXXXXXXXXXXX". You can also check the data usage from your phone settings.

How secure is eSIM data?

eSIM data connectivity is extremely secure. It provides a reliable and safe mobile data connection that is far more secure than public Wi-Fi and other alternatives. eSIM data plans are ideal for all applications, from calls and texts to email, web browsing, video conferencing, and corporate VPN connectivity.

Do I need to provide my government I.D's to activate the eSIM?

No, we do not require any I.D's in order to activate. Simply install the eSIM on your phone to get coverage!

Should I switch on Data Roaming when using eSIM?

Yes, please make sure that Data Roaming is on. Please go to "Settings" > "Cellular" and turn on "Data Roaming." Please also remember to turn it off after use. Failure to switch on Data Roaming for this eSIM will not provide coverage on your mobile device.
